The Sea- May/June

19/6/2018

ASD were really enjoying Music Therapy using the 'sea' drum to prepare us for the school trip to the seaside, also for six weeks we were learning to play Samba Drums and bells. Everybody had a Great,Noisy!! time.
We were enjoying the weather so we had PE down at Haltons and then had an Orienteering competition. The Weather was Beautiful!!
With the weather being so good we took the class lessons out to the lake at the forest to see all the animals and insects that live in and around the water before going to Running on the Football Pitch and a relaxing visit to the fairy forest to wind down.
Everyone was excited to be going on our School trip to Blackrock Beach near Dundalk. We all prepared in the classroom by getting used to the feel of sand and water and also the sounds of the seaside. The big day arrived and all had a great time on the Beach going for a walk to the old boathouse, playing in the sea and sand and then enjoying a lovely lunch along the Promenade. A busy day left some of us exhausted and asleep on the way home!!
We also had Fisheries Ireland in to show us all the insect wildlife that live in the rivers and lakes around Cavan/Monaghan
