Outside in the fresh air at Tullyvin Garden Centre, Emma, Nathan and Joe learned about planting lettuce and spring onion seeds. We hope we will have a great crop at school for each pupil in a few weeks time. Thanks to Niall and Rosalyn from Tullyvin Garden Centre for a great hour!

Rebecca is glad to be back doing her worksheets for Level 1. Emma is taste testing a new recipe soon to feature on our school Facebook page. It is strawberry cheesecake and Emma loved it! Grace is grating some lemon rind for another new recipe - lemon yogurt cake. Be careful Grace!! Sean Paul is using another piece of sharp equipment to peel his potatoes for spicy potato wedges. He is also taking great care in the kitchen! Christopher is making Chicken Nuggets from scratch - putting the breadcrumbs on in this photo before they go into the oven. They look great!
Nathan helps fill the bottom of some treat boxes for our friends on the buses. This was a real team effort. As you can see on our next picture, Emma helped with this job too. This is the little note we put inside each box of goodies. We handed over then to helpers from Oak class to hand out the boxes to all the drivers and bus escorts. What a real team effort. Thanks to everyone involved. ![]() Tomasz hands out one of the first boxes. Next out is Ciaran, wearing his gloves to keep everyone safe! ![]() Conor is showing his appreciation on behalf of all of us. Aaron is also wearing gloves to hand out his share of the boxes. ![]() Matthew is pictured here explaining to passenger Liam what he is doing and why.
![]() Emma from Holly class is the first to put up her photo showing the great decorating she did with her reindeer biscuits - don't they look great. Well done! Here we see Nathan putting the finishing touches to his reindeer biscuits, applying a red nose, some coloured eyes and antlers to make them look great and I hope they taste delicious too.
Pictured are Caelan, Tomasz and Conor - the final pupils from Oak class to decorate their Christmas cakes for home. Well done lads, they look great! I am off to have a nice cup of tea and relax now that all the work is done. Don't tell Rachel - okay??
Three more Oak pupils take home their lovely Christmas Cakes. Pictured are Sean, Nicole and Leah who did great work to get their cakes decorated, ready for home yesterday. Each pupil also took home a lovely photo album for their families to see each stage they went through to make these lovely cakes. Well done boy and girls!
Matthew, Aaron and Ciaran pictured with the lovely Christmas cakes they made for their families. I hope they taste as good as they look. Well done boys - the first cakes to be completed. The rest of Oak class will post their Christmas cake photos over the coming weeks so keep an eye out for that.
Nathan is revising our safety rules for the kitchen - you can't be too careful. Luckily he knows all the answers. Great job! Emma is making a great start to her Level 1 activities and worksheets using the big screen. Great job! Christopher is finding our nearest fire exit for a Level 2 activity. Keeping us all safe! Finally, a bit of cooking! Here, Paul is helping me put some of our Autumn Fruit Crumbles in the oven. See how he is wearing his ovengloves and waiting for an adult at the cooker. He knows how to take care in the kitchen. Great job Paul!
