This month we have been reading the story called the Hungry Caterpillar. We loved reading about all the different food the caterpillar eats and how he turned into a beautiful butterfly at the end.
December is always a busy month and this year was no different with birthdays, cafe outings, a trip to the panto to see Beauty and the Beast (Oh yes it did!!!). It also brought our Christmas topic and we made yummy hot chocolate, wore our Christmas jumpers to school and did very well in our school nativity.
All the children in Junior 2 loved going on their school tour to Tanagh Outdoor Education Centre. They had great fun canoeing, fishing and mud-sliding! Here are some photographs of the great fun they had there.
Welcome back. Junior 2 has welcomed Sebastian to our school, he has really enjoyed the structure of our school day and likes to keep busy alongside his new friends.
In September we were learning about myself. All pupils really enjoyed putting together puzzles of themselves. They learnt to name more parts of their bodies and families sent in lovely photos of their families so we displayed them in our classroom.
For the Month of October we were learning about Halloween and Autumn. We really enjoyed walking down to woods to gather leaves. To our surprise we found acorns on the ground so that made it extra special. We also brought food down to feed the ducks.
We got to carve a pumpkin and we dressed up for Halloween. We were very scary!
For November our Theme was Jungle. We all loved this as we got to dress up as different animals and explore various types of materials the animals might live within.
