As part of our 'Healthy School' initiative we launched our Mile a day on Monday, January 20th. This involves each class becoming more active for 15 minutes every day in whichever way suits each room. The pupils in the White Star launched the walk with the help of Lorraine O'Neill (Operation Transformation) who cut the ribbon. The seniors then walked down to the main building where they were greeted by the pupils and staff from the Junior school, Special Care classes and ASD classes. The entire school community then took part in an exercise class given by Tara Duffy. Lorraine was being followed by the RTE cameras and we are all hoping to see some familiar faces on RTE on Operation Transformation on Wednesday night!
