Students from Senior 5 and 6 took part in an inclusive GAA Blitz on the green fields of Croke Park on the 23rd September 2017. The students practised their skills every lunchtime in September in preparation for this fantastic event.
Some of the skill executed by the students on the day was immense. They joined with the Unit in Our Ladies Castleblaney and represented Ulster. They were kitted out in Ulster gear for the day.
The girls team won 2 of their matches and reached a final. The boys lost narrowly to South Dublin and Leinster. They put up a great fight and battled it out until the final whistle. The students received medals and certificates after the finals. The day was capped off when the students got a well earned meal in the Fiddlers Restaurant Carrickmacross.
Well done to all involved.
