As part of their Literacy and SPHE ( Social, personal and health education) programme Special Care 5 & 6 take part in a joint school initiative with Transition Year pupils from the local St. Adian's comprehensive School.
This project encourages Social Skill development, communication skills, listening and attention skills.
Sensory Stories are a teaching strategy that enables stories to come to life using real sounds, objects and tastes to enable our pupils to experience stories in a meaningful way.
Transition year pupils are learning vocational skills, community skills and we appreciate the work, effort and sensitivity St. Adian's School pupils have demonstrated.
They have created invaluable story sacks and we wish them all well in their studies. Thank You.
