It has been another busy month in senior 5. The year is going in so quick and we are trying to squeeze in as much as possible.
Our European day which we worked towards in April was a great success at the start of the month. We had learned all about Greece in April and the European day was our chance to tell the whole school what we knew. We set up a big stall with Senior 1 in the main hall. We put up all our posters and work on display, prepared Greek food for every one to taste and even dressed up in ancient Greek clothes.
We loved looking at all the other stalls and learned about lots of different countries.
It was a great day.

We continued our work on our Minibeasts theme throughout the month of May. We worked on categorizing minibeasts, singing songs about minibeasts, making minibeasts with play doh, making minibeasts in art and going on a minibeast hunt in the grounds of the school. We learned in lots of different and fun ways.
We were very proud when a pupil in Senior 5 was selected to go up to Dublin to collect the schools 3rd green flag. All the staff and pupils in the Holy Family School made a great effort to preserve water and become more water aware which helped us achieve our 3rd green flag.
We also had a very special 17th birthday in senior 5. A great day was had when we held a Halloween themed birthday party for Magenta. Everyone had a great time.
