We completed a project for the Irish Aid. Our project was called 'A Day in the life'. We completed our research on children from the developing countries and how important it is to keep them in school. After we received our award at the arts center we stopped off to see the Glencairn Waterfall. We also stopped off in Mc Donalds.
We made some pancakes and everybody tried to flip the pancake. Harder than it looks!
Our class organised the school disco as part of our level 2, (Taking part in a work related activity). We gave each class teacher a set of hearts, each pupil had to earn 3 hearts to get their disco ticket. At the disco we all had a job. Leanne ran the Hot Chocolate stand, Altafin and Josh ran the Caelan. Tomasz and Josh took the tickets.
Pauric Duffy was welcoming everybody in and looked after the lights and music. Cormac helped Andrea with the face paints and Reece helped out in the photo booth. It was so much fun. We all did rock the boat and made a train.
In January we learned all about New Year’s resolutions. Some of the resolutions we made were to exercise more, eat more vegetables. As part of our short course we were learning all about Caring for Animals. We were working on caring for dogs. Andrea brought her dog Bolt. We took great care of him for the day. We walked him down to the main school and showed everyone, we also went to the dog groomers to get his hair cut we went to the butchers to buy a dog bone. We had a takeaway from Sorrentos and had a movie afternoon which was great fun. We had a day off because of the snow.
