We were busy preparing for the 1916 commemoration. A soldier called Clive came in and taught us how to march. We gathered up costumes of the Irish army in 1916 and all dressed up for our 1916 day.We practiced some jiving and the Siege of Ennis for the Cheile Everybody brought in items from their homes. We made an old classroom, we ate potato bread, an old sweetshop was opened for the day. We performed the foggy due on the tin whistle and the National Anthem as the flag was being raised. All the staff and students dressed up in 1916 clothes. It was a fantastic day.
We had an Easter egg hunt and had our breakfast in Seans Diner on the last day of term.
WE GOT OUR EASTER HOLIDAYS.
