Chinese New Year
In January, Senior 7 learnt all about Chinese New Year. We learnt that this year, 2017, is the year of the rooster. We used the internet to research all about China and how they celebrate the New Year. We found out that red is a lucky colour in China and children get red envelopes with money in them from their grandparents for good luck. People decorate their homes with paper lanterns and lights. They also have a large parade with lots of floats and dragons. In Art, we made our own Chinese New Year dragons. Some of us also made paper lanterns.
