Today we made hot chocolate as part of our Winter themed Science lesson. We experienced materials and how they changed. As a class we began by heating the milk. We poured the heated milk in to a jug. We then added the cocoa powder to our cup and then added the milk and sang as we stirred and mixed them together. We observed how the powder changed to a liquid form with the addition of milk. The first cup of hot chocolate dissolved quickly as we had very hot milk but as it cooled it took longer for the hot chocolate to dissolve. We had lots of fun especially as we got to eat our marshmallows and drink our hot chocolate as we finished!
